An engineer by training, Ray brings broad expertise spanning engineering, operations, investor relations, strategy, finance, external affairs, and ultimately led enterprise-wide inclusion efforts.

He is highly sought after as a speaker and facilitator and for advisory services to Fortune 500 clients. Ray retired in 2024 from his role as Group Chief Diversity Officer at Barclays Bank, where he distinguished himself as a global leader in achieving meaningful and measurable progress in corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion. Prior to Barclays, he served as Chief Diversity Officer for BP America and President of the BP Foundation. Reporting directly to the BP America Chairman and President, Ray led a wide-ranging portfolio encompassing workforce diversity, supplier diversity, national strategic relationships, and corporate philanthropy.
